Purpose: The mission of the African American Education Club is to educate and inform the Sun City community about African American history and lived experience. Our work promotes understanding, respect and meaningful connection among residents. We provide a welcoming space for knowledge, dialogue and shared learning. Through this work, we deepen the awareness of the African American experience in America and honor a legacy that reaches back to the Motherland.
Membership: We welcome all residents who have an interest in learning, open and respectful conversation. Annual dues are $20.00 per year.
Meetings: Our meetings are held once a month on the third Thursday from Noon-2pm in the Caper Room.
