Social & Civic

Whatever interests you want to pursue, there probably is a group of like-minded neighbors who will be happy to have you join them. Whether it’s as energetic as tennis, artistic as china painting or mentally challenging as competitive bridge, you’ll find a club that will welcome you.

We have 22 music and dance clubs ranging from polka to ballroom dance and from big-band to country music. There are clubs for cats, dogs, writers, investors, gardeners, and fun-lovers of every stripe. Click on any of the categories below to learn more.

This page includes many of the organizations in Sun City Center which are involved in civic or social activities, or which provide support to the residents of the community on a charitable basis. While some of the organizations listed may not be affiliated with the CA, they are popular with residents so are listed here for information. Dues, if any, should be confirmed by calling the person who is in charge of the organization. Refer to the Membership Directory for contact information.

AMATEUR RADIO CLUB

The SCC Amateur Radio club provides emergency communications to the Sun City Center community in times of crises.  We are associated with the Hillsborough County Emergency services organizations as well.  We offer support to other organizations in Sun City Center that require radio communications for their projects and events.  The club radio room is staffed from 9am – 11am Monday through Friday. 

Meetings: Regular club meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month starting at 2:00 PM in the Florida Room in the Atrium Building.

Helping women and girls throughout the community through education, philanthropy and advocacy.

The Multi-Cultural Heritage Club is dedicated to the effort of inspiring our members to extend fellowship and support to each other through social and cultural activities. The Sun City Center (SCC) Cooking Demonstration Club meets to share ideas, recipes and most of all, have fun!

Membership: Open to all SCC members and Kings Point and Freedom Plaza gold card members.  Dues are $25 annually.  Meetings are held from 3pm-6:30pm on the third Saturday of each month in room #5 at the South Pebble Beach Blvd. Community Hall.
