Purpose: The GFWC Sun City Center Woman’s Club is a non-profit organization where women come together to serve, learn, lead and build lasting relationships. Members support meaningful causes, learn more about community issues and make a difference through volunteer service and charitable projects. Founded in 1962, our club helped establish the Sun City Center Library. In 1973 members launched the local Meals on Wheels program, which the club continues to coordinate today. Two fundraisers yearly generate funds for community services and to support veterans, education and women. Through annual fundraisers and year-round service projects, we support veterans, education, women and children, local organizations and many other worthy causes. As part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs our members are connected to a worldwide network of women dedicated to volunteer service and strengthening communities.
Membership: Membership is open to all women in Sun City Center and the South Shore area. Kings Point Members with a KP Club Card. Annual dues are $45.00, with a one-time $15.00 charge for your name tag.
Meetings: General meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month, September through May at the South Campus Community Hall. Guests are welcome! Meetings include a social time, a brief business session, lunch and either an entertaining or educational program featuring topics such as arts and culture, education, conservation, health and wellness, civic engagement and community outreach.
