Dancing is one of the best activities to promote physical, cognitive and emotional well-being.
Purpose: Jazzmatazz Dance Club was established in 2001 with the objective of providing members with programs that promote and encourage the learning of jazz dancing. Activities of the Club focus on three key areas:
1) To learn jazz dance steps, techniques and routines through weekly instruction with a choreographer and additional practices.
2) To perform for events and organizations that support local charitable causes.
3) To enjoy friendship and camaraderie of its members who love to dance.
Membership: The Club is open to all CA members and qualifying residents of other communities who have the physical ability and skill to execute jazz dance routines safely. Club members pay annual dues of $15 and a weekly choreographer fee. The Club sponsors a beginner jazz class for those who want to explore what the Club has to offer and/or develop basic jazz dance skills.
Meetings: The Club meets very Saturday from 10:15am to 12:15pm for jazz dance class taught by a choreographer. Additional practices are available throughout the week. An annual business meeting is held in November or December. Special meetings may be called.
Contacts: For more information, please contact the Jazzmatazz President as shown on the Club Presidents list available through the Activities page on the SCCCA website.
