The Writers Roundtable focuses on writing, critiquing and improving our writing. All levels of writers are welcome from absolute newbies to published authors.
Purpose: Our purpose is to write and help each other improve our writing. If you have something you want to have critiqued, bring 3-5 copies to the meeting on Wednesday. By being critiqued and critiquing others, you will improve your own writing skills. We do NOT read out work aloud, except on “short day” once a month when short stories and poems (up to one page double spaced) are shared with the group. These shorts may include themes such as “My New Year Resolution” in January, “A Love Story” for February, etc. This is our social day, while others involve serious, but fun, work. We also have speakers who work in a writing field or who have published books, talk to the group. If you are interested in improving your writing skills, if you can speak about writing at a meeting or just have fun with other writers, this is the group for you!
Membership: Community Association members and Kings Point Members with a KP Club Usage Card are welcome. There are no dues.
Meetings: Every Wednesday 2pm-4pm in the Armstrong Room.
