Audubon Club

Share in this clubs mission to educate and advocate to promote conservation and to provide opportunities to discover nature and help forge life-long connections between people and the environment.

Purpose: To promote an understanding of, and interest in, all wildlife and the environment that supports it; and to further the cause of conservation of natural resources.

Meetings: Meetings are held the first Saturday of the month, October through April, in the Florida Room (Oct-Nov, Mar-Apr) or Community Hall (Dec-Jan-Feb) beginning with a social at 9:30am followed by a scheduled program at 10:00am.  Our monthly speakers and presentations provide a great way to learn about the location of the area’s interesting parks and preserves.  Presentations range from birds, bees, flowers and animals, to conservation issues and photography tips.  Field Trips:  Monthly field trips to see and watch birds and animals and a yearly three-day trip to areas of interest throughout the State.  Locations are scouted in advance to ensure paths & trails are easily walkable at a leisurely pace.  Wear comfortable walking shoes on field trips; bring binoculars, scopes, cameras, field guides, water, sunscreen and a wide brimmed hat to enjoy a comfortable & rewarding experience.
