Sun City Center Tai Chi Club has been meeting since 1997, bringing together gentle-spirited seniors who want to improve their physical and mental health.
Purpose: We practice 108-move Taoist Tai Chi in a slow and meditative state to build strength and balance, and to increase mobility and body awareness. Our focus is on stretching muscles and ligaments rather than on the martial art aspect of Tai Chi.
Membership: Open to all SCC Community Association Members. The club has no dues or fees but a CA, KP (Gold) or FP card is required.
Meetings: Main Campus Atrium Dance Studio 1 (adjacent to the Walking Pool)
- Experienced-member-only practices with no instruction: Tue-Thu-Sat 8-9am
- Beginner classes (12 weeks, once/twice each year): Mon-Wed 2:30-3:30pm
