As a Sun City Center resident, you’re a voting member of the Community Association that owns and operates our many buildings and recreational facilities. Community Association directors are unpaid volunteers, elected by the members who can and do voice their ideas and opinions at regular monthly board meetings. Members have access to all the facilities and amenities, for a remarkably low cost. You’ll find that our yearly dues are about the same as the monthly dues in some other Florida age-restricted communities.
The CA holds membership meetings 3 times a year. Board meetings are held monthly to discuss CA business and various issues of importance to the community. Special Board meetings are called as the need arises. A budget review meeting is also held with the full membership in the fall. All of these meetings are open to the membership. The CA Board also sponsors a monthly meeting of Community Leaders.
Yearly Membership Meetings: Community Hall, 7:00 PM
Annual Membership Meeting – First Wednesday in January. If this day falls on a legal holiday, the meeting shall be held the next business day.
Membership meetings are also held twice a year in March and October. Dates to be announced.
Monthly Board Meeting: Second Wednesday, Rollins Theatre, 9:00 AM
Monthly Community Leaders Meeting :Third Tuesday, Florida Room, 9:00 AM
Note: Meetings are not scheduled in June, July or August
Monthly CO-AP (Community Organization of Association Presidents) Meeting: Fourth Monday, Caper Room, 2:00 PM
Note: Meetings are not scheduled in April, May, June, July, August, November or December.
Budget Review Meeting: In September, Florida Room, 9:00 AM. Date to be announced.
Meet the Candidates Night: Second Wednesday of November, Community Hall, 7:00 PM.
Membership Vote: First Wednesday of December, Community Hall, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Early voting – Tuesday preceding above date –Sandpiper Room, 8:00 AM to 3pm.
