Support Groups

A remarkable array of services helps make Sun City Center a safer, healthier and more enjoyable place to live. Most are provided by trained volunteers and are free of charge.  The Emergency Squad provides ambulance service to residents in time of need.  The Security Patrol keeps watch over our neighborhoods. The Good Samaritans’ SCC offers transportation and support services. Those are but a few of the unexpected services you’ll enjoy here.  Our Newcomers Hospitality Program volunteers will be happy to tell you more.

There are many support groups in the Greater Sun City Center Area. The ones listed below are currently active in the area.

Alzheimers Respite Care and Support: If you are providing care for a person with Alzheimer’s disease and need to “recharge your batteries”, you can get respite care by placing the person in an Assisted Living Facility for two to seven days.

You may also have someone from a home health care agency come to your home, or utilize day care at an Adult Day Care up to 50 hours. Details are available from Samaritan Services, Inc., 916 N. Pebble Beach Blvd, Sun City Center, FL 33573; call them at 813-634-9283.
