Sunday, May 20: Preview to Marriage of Figaro:

The St. Petersburg Opera Company will present this opera preview in the Rollins Theatre 2:00-4:00pm. Mozart's comic opera immerses us in the scandalous depiction of the pleasure-seeking nobleman, Count Almaviva, who is upstated by his crafty, quick-witted servant, Figaro, in their quest for the same woman - Susanna. From the first notes to the glorious celebration of love and marriage at the end, the opera is backed with great "characters" and sparkling music. Reserved seats. Open to public. Tickets: $10/person.

Sunday, June 3: An Afternoon With Jamie Perlow:

An Afternoon with Jamie Perlow takes you back in time to a simpler era...A time when music was truly music. When you could turn on the radio and listen to almost any station. A time when real singers sang the songs we love. An Evening with Jamie Perlow is partially inspired by the movie "The Fabulous Baker Boys" and is reminiscent of the "Dinner Shows" once held at New York's famous Copacabana. Jaime sings the songs of the 1940's through 1990's, celebrating artists like Barbara Streisand, Patti Page, Bette Midler, Karen Carpenter and many others. Some songs you will hear are The Way We Were, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Smile, Rainy Days & Mondays, Someone to Watch Over Me and What a Wonderful World.
