Life long friendships have developed and members learn new techniques to enhance the beauty of this art.
Purpose: To learn the techniques and practice the art of Bunka Embroidery using the Japanese method. Bunka is a Japanese art form of embroidery. A finished picture resembles an oil painting, but closer inspection will reveal the beautiful art of stitchery.
Membership: Open to all CA Members. Annual dues are $5.00. New members are welcome.
Meetings: We meet every Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Arts and Crafts Building to stitch together for fellowship and to help one another with our projects. Beginners receive instructions and assistance from 10:00 AM to Noon. A Bunka Art Show is held once a year to display the pictures completed during the previous 12 months.
