There are many opportunities to stay healthy and fit in the community. The Fitness Center is open all day long with music played to keep you moving. To use the Fitness Center, all persons must display their valid ID card issued by the CA. Guests must be accompanied by a member unless a pass has been issued by the CA Office for a nominal weekly fee allowing unescorted attendance. Proper clothing and footwear is required. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the facility.

Water aerobics are an excellent way to exercise your joints and muscles and lots of fun.
Meetings: Classes are at 10 AM Monday through Saturday (shallow water); and 9 AM Monday through Friday (deep water).
To promote a healthy lifestyle of active fitness.
Meetings: Conducted monthly, normally on the third Thursday of the month at 3:00 PM
Flexercise involves a lot of stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling, squeezing, sweating and gasping for breath through series of exercises. Its intent is to enhance health by increasing flexibility and muscle toning.
Meetings: Kick it up with Flexercise Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in Community Hall from 8:00 – 8:45 AM. From 8:50 – 9:20 AM participants can follow a leader though low-impact aerobic routines.
Sun City Center Low Impact Aerobics Club presents the opportunity through a variety of video tapes and DVD to participate in a cardiovascular workout at your on speed, build endurance, provide overall exercise for strength and flexibility, cause minimal impact on joints and bring fun and friendship.
Meetings: Aerobic Classes are: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8:20 – 9:20 AM in the Dance Studio.
Master swimmers encourages competitive swimmers and fitness swimmers to challenge each other and learn from the skill of others and is a great exercise for all ages.
Meetings: General membership meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of November. Contact the president for regularly scheduled meetings.
Created in 1983, this stimulating 60 minute movement practice will engage your body and mind in healthy ways without jumping or jarring joints. NIA takes you through a combination of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts done to inspiring music. All fitness levels are encouraged to participate. “Through Movement We Find Health”
Meetings: Nia Classes are Fridays @ 1:30pm in Dance Room 2/SCC Main Campus. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat. Beginners are always welcome!!

Swim to keep your body and mind agile and fit while learning figures and routines in a fun and social atmosphere.
Meetings: Practice times are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00pm and Friday mornings from 7:30 to 9:00am at the Atrium pool.
Tai Chi is a non aggressive form of Martial Arts for Health and Exercise. The 108 movements – done in a slow, meditative state – build body strength, balance, coordination, stamina and body awareness.
Stretching and bending exercise to stay fit and healthy.
Classes: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dance Studio. Stand-up exercises last one-half hour and are done to music.
Physical, mental and spiritual exercise to enhance your health and well being.
Meetings: Class members include novices and experienced practitioners, men and women, those who are seated in a chair and those on a mat. Classes are held in the Heritage and Armstrong Rooms. 6 classes a week. One hour Yoga Stretch classes, Monday and Friday at 9:30 AM. Multi -level Yoga classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 lasting 1:15. Thursdays at 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in Dance Studio an hour of yoga followed by optional 1/2 hour of guided meditation
